Promote Your Work

Introduction
As a VR researcher, worker or student you can use VRoot.org to promote your own work. As VR enthusiasts, members of the same community, we feel that being informed about any works done in our field is important. The more we know, the better we are. This could lead to a better collaboration, the establishment of common projects between the members of our community.

There is three ways of promoting your work:

  1. Submit news about the launching, progression or conclusion of your project. News from small-scale projects are accepted and encouraged (registered users only, admin approval needed).
  2. As a registered user, use your VRoot personal blog to talks about your own projects without any admin approval.
  3. Add pages to the Wiki Virtual Reality Resources section (or edit existing ones) where you specifically document your own project/organization or copy/paste your research papers and technical articles (registered users only, without admin approval).

Promoting Your Work Via News Submission
Submitted stories must be abstracts of your project. It is not the place where to elaborate about specifics details (deep analysis, data tables, graphs). Simply link your project web page if you want to present this kind of information. Keep in mind to give us the following informations (as most as possible):

  • Who: Who are you (your name, status/job)?
  • Where: Which organization are you from (research group, university, organization and/or company)?
  • What:
    • If it's a new project: a small description of the project.
    • If it's a work in progress or a terminated one: observations/conclusions.
  • Why: Project's objectives.
  • How:
    • If it's a new project: how will you proceed to accomplish it?
    • If it's a work in progress or a terminated one: how did you proceed to get these observations/conclusions?
  • URL(s): Web page(s) where more informations are available about the project in itself, author(s), organization(s), ...
