Every VRoot User Now Has A Personal Blog!

VRoot.org Management

Every registered user now has a personal blog! Added blog stories are instantly published on your blog's main page, without any admin approval! You may use this new tool to discuss about any topic somehow related to VR. Notice: we will not tolerate any aggressive spam and we reserve the right to delete any content we judge to be inappropriate.

The link to your own blog is the "My blog" item under your personal menu (on the left side of every VRoot.org pages, with your username as the title). By default, your blog URL is identified by a number (example: vroot.org/blog/12), but we may give you an easily remembered URL, that ends with a text string instead of a number, if you ask us. Example: vroot.org/blog/john. Just send an email at "jacquesa [at] ualberta [dot] ca" if it's the case.

This new functionality is also a way of providing better content to VRoot users. The most pertinent stories will be published on VRoot's front page. It means you can use your blog as an alternative to the "Submit News" form.

Just like news submission, you may either use Filtered HTML (limited set of Html tags), MediaWiki or DokuWiki syntax to enter content in a blog post.
